About Pankaj Lal, MD
Recognized by Washington Magazine as one of the top cardiologists in the Washington, D.C., area, Pankaj Lal, MD, has three decades of experience as an expert internist and cardiologist. He currently serves patients from the Montgomery County communities in and around Gaithersburg, Maryland, at Capital Cardiac Care. He offers stress tests, as well as diagnosis and treatment, for conditions including angina, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, leg pain, and vertigo.
Dr. Lal earned his medical degree at Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India. He went on to serve residencies at both North Shore University Hospital in Long Island, New York, and Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood, New Jersey. Dr. Lal also completed a prestigious fellowship in cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami where he was the chief fellow. He’s certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Cardiology.
